 Biomass heating is often promoted as a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels, but measuring its true climate performance requires clear data and transparency. In this webinar, Shawn McGrath, the CEO of ACFOR Energy, will share how a new system was developed and tested to measure and visualize the climate attributes of forest biomass used to replace fossil fuel heating at NSCC Lunenburg Campus.

The session will walk through how the system tracks key climate indicators across the biomass supply chain, from forest sourcing to on-site energy use, and how this approach supports more informed decisions about renewable heating and emissions reduction.
